Brenda Marshall Ulrich Joins Our Office
Brenda Marshall Ulrich has joined our office as an associate. Brenda brings
to the office experience both in intellectual property law and in
litigation. Since graduating from Georgetown University Law Center in 2001,
Brenda has been a litigation associate at Edwards, Angell, Palmer & Dodge
and the Assistant Director of Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts of
Massachusetts. Brenda is the co-chair of the Boston Bar Association's Arts,
Entertainment & Sports Law Committee, and the co-organizer of its program on
"Hot Topics in Arts, Entertainment, and Sports Law," to be presented
on Friday, May 9, 2008, 9a.m - Noon.
About Us
Zick Rubin received a B.A. from Yale University, a Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Michigan, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. A former psychology professor at Harvard and Brandeis Universities, Zick is a textbook and trade book author and a frequent contributor to both general and legal publications. Before establishing The Law Office of Zick Rubin in 2003, Zick was Of Counsel at the Boston firms of Palmer & Dodge and Hill & Barlow. He has successfully litigated publishing, copyright, trademark, and defamation cases in federal and state courts in Massachusetts and elsewhere. He was listed in Boston Magazine (October 2002) as one of Boston's five best intellectual property lawyers.
Brenda Marshall Ulrich received her B.A. from the University of Chicago in
1996 and her J.D. magna cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center
in 2001. While in law school, Brenda worked in the Office of the General
Counsel at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington,
D.C. As an associate in the litigation department of Edwards, Angell,
Palmer & Dodge, Brenda represented clients in a wide variety of federal and
state cases, including copyright and trademark disputes. Before joining
The Law Office of Zick Rubin in 2008, Brenda was the Assistant Director of
Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts of Massachusetts, where she provided legal
assistance to artists and arts organizations (including visual artists,
musicians, authors, dancers, and filmmakers). Brenda is Co-chair of the
Boston Bar Association's Arts, Entertainment & Sports Law Committee. In her
spare time, she sings with the Back Bay Chorale.
